Story About 2L Coaching Services to Appear in Health Magazine

01/10/2007

As word spreads about how well online coaching works for runners, there are an increasing number of articles in print media about the benefits and success stories about this type of service. The April edition of Health Magazine will include the first hand account of a first time runner who came to 2L Coaching looking for guidance getting started.

Jennifer Miller has tried a lot of new things as part of the stories that she writes for Health Magazine. In the spring of 2006, she decided to enlist the help of an online coach to help her prepare for a June 5K (her first). She looked around the internet and decided that 2L Coaching Services would be the best resource for this three month endeavour, so signed up for a silver subscription and took advantage of the guiadance provided by Lowell Ladd.

During the twelve week program coach Ladd prepared daily workouts, checked in on Jennifer's progress regularly, and spoke with her on the phone weekly to answer questions and provide support and encouragement. The biggest challenge was the fact that Jennifer had run primarily on the treadmill and had to make the transition to running outside in preparation for a race that would be on those conditions. Jennifer followed the program diligently, and her hard work paid off with a successful result on race day. Not only did she exceed expectations, but she was rewarded with an age group award.
